The Josefsheim Hostel is located in the center of Schruns, in the heart of the Montafon, in the middle of the Austrian Alps. Right next to the mountain railroad and the entrance to the ski area, the hostel offers teenagers, young adults and active families a home base for sports activities of all kinds - and at a fair price.

Comfortable beds in private bunks, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious washrooms, ski cellar and bike depot: everything you need is here. You can do without frills.

Josefsheim Restaurant - cozy, hospitable, good.

A new kind of gastronomy awaits you in the center of Schruns. Inviting parlors with lots of wood, a cozy lounge with a beautiful interior, the reinterpretation of traditional dishes and ingredients as well as a gondola floating in the room, make the restaurant visit a culinary and sensory experience.

The open kitchen allows you to look over the chefs' shoulders. Watch them as they wield the wooden spoon and conjure up delicious dishes for you on your plate. The menu reflects the historic St. Josefsheim with traditional Montafon dishes.

The mountain railroads in Montafon and Brandnertal introduced dynamic pricing for day and multi-day tickets this winter.

Sounds complicated? It isn't. Those who book early will benefit from lower prices!

Tickets can be booked conveniently and easily with attractive prices from home in the webshop, eliminating annoying queuing times at the ticket offices.

In this way, we not only want to improve our service quality, but also offer our guests a fair and family-friendly price model in the future.

There is always a reason to celebrate, isn't there?!

In summer, when the weather is nice, we set up outside in the green guest garden for you and your party crew. The chestnut trees will give you shade.

In winter, we reserve a cozy, warm place for you inside.

For church events, such as baptisms or weddings, there is the possibility to begin celebrating in the newly renovated Josefsheim Chapel, in the same building, and then later celebrate in the restaurant.

The Josefsheim is the ideal home base for your active vacation in the Montafon mountains. The adventure is waiting right outside the door: Two turns and you are directly at the valley station of the mountain railroad. At the top, the longest valley run in Vorarlberg, slopes with gradients to kneel down on, an extensive backcountry for freeriding and unforgettable mountain experiences await you in winter.

LIVING HISTORY

A time-honored, historic house in the heart of Montafon

The memories are far too present to let the history of the Josefsheim be forgotten.

Until the 1990s, the Josefsheim served as a hospital and maternity ward. Many Montafoners were born here or gave birth to their children here. After that, the listed house stood empty for most of the time.

With a responsible and careful look back at what was, something new is now emerging. Something courageous, young and interpreted in a contemporary way. With each local, guest or employee, the historic house is revitalized and becomes a place where people like to meet, spend time and enjoy. A charming meeting place for young and old.

Together we breathe new life into this piece of Montafon history.
